Three years ago, on February 24, 2022, the world of Ukrainians changed forever. At four in the morning, the silence of the night was shattered by explosions, and the country woke up to a new reality — the reality of war, which still rages on. Destroyed cities, millions of refugees, devastating losses, indescribable pain, and an unyielding fight. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Bakhmut, Kherson — names that have become symbols of resilience and the brutality of Russian aggression.
Over these three years, we have learned to live with air raid sirens, brew coffee under the wail of alarms, fall asleep in basements, bury our best, work while our hearts break from the news, and keep fighting even when it feels like we have no strength left. We have lost much, but we have not lost what matters most — faith in God! Faith in Ukraine! Today, we remember every soul who gave their life for freedom, those who lost their loved ones, their homes, their peaceful lives. Eternal memory to those taken by war, and eternal honor to those who continue to fight.
How the war changed everything but did not break us
When the war came, it took everything: peace, tranquility, joy, and normal life. Businesses shut down, cities emptied, and hundreds of thousands of people left. Like the entire country, we faced challenges no one had ever expected: many groomers left Ukraine, supplies of equipment and cosmetics became complicated, and fear and uncertainty gripped everyone. But we decided not to give up. We fought for the future!
V.O.G DOG SALON started almost from scratch. We rebuilt our work step by step, bringing our beloved craft back to life. We searched for new specialists, invested in their training, and created the best conditions for those ready to work in Ukraine. And it wasn’t easy. But today, we look back with pride — over these three years, we have not only survived but have become the best and most renowned grooming salon network in Ukraine. We are even featured in serious publications and recognized in other countries as top experts in the field. We didn’t give up; we kept working because we knew that while the war had taken so much, we would not let it take our future.
We continue our mission despite all the challenges. Because the war is ongoing, but so is life. We provide high-quality services, create jobs, support the economy, and help our army. And we believe that together, we are bringing victory closer.
Despite the war, we remain the best
The war has not changed our commitment to quality. Despite difficulties, supply disruptions, and the loss of part of our team, we continued to work and grow. Every client who came to us knew: at V.O.G DOG SALON, their pet would receive the best care.
We didn’t just keep our salons running — we expanded. Today, V.O.G DOG SALON has 12 salons across Kyiv, and we’re not stopping. We opened our fourth academy and train new groomers every day. These professionals don’t just become part of our team; they carry our knowledge and expertise to different parts of the world. Our graduates now work in various countries, representing the highest standards of Ukrainian grooming.
We create opportunities for those who stayed in Ukraine, provide jobs, develop new professionals, and elevate our industry on an international level. Thanks to these efforts, V.O.G DOG SALON has become the largest and most renowned grooming salon network in Ukraine. We have grown stronger, proving that true professionalism and dedication are unbreakable.
The war continues, but life doesn’t stop
Stopping is not an option when you bear responsibility for people, for pets, for a business that is part of the country’s economy. To work is to help Ukraine endure. Every job created, every salary paid, every satisfied client is another step toward stability in these difficult times.
