Theo is a beautiful collie with a thick, long and multi-layered coat that requires careful and professional grooming. The breed has a dense undercoat that tangles easily and collects excess moisture, so regular hygiene treatments are a necessity for the dog’s skin health and comfort.
The groomer started with a deep combing to gently remove the undercoat and untangle areas where the hair had gathered in knots. A special cosmetic was chosen for Theo that thoroughly cleanses the coat but does not dry it out. During bathing, attention was paid to areas where the skin needs extra ventilation – especially behind the ears, in the groin area and under the tail.
After blow drying, Theo’s coat became fluffy, light and structured. The master performed a full hygiene treatment: cleaned up the paw area, evened out the coat line on the belly, shaped the area around the eyes and cleaned up the problem areas with long hair. All of this allows the collie to look well-groomed and feel comfortable.
The final result is that Theo has retained his natural majestic look and his coat is clean, airy and tangle free.
