On September 13-14 our team V.O.G DOG SALON took part in a large-scale festival PesDay, organized by the Angola Tails Foundation. Two days in the heart of the event turned into a real holiday for dogs and their owners. The territory was so large that without a movie host with announcements one could easily get lost among dozens of activities. From the first minute visitors were greeted by a special atmosphere – queues at the entrance, hundreds of guests with dogs of all sizes and breeds, including rare and extremely spectacular ones. Each animal was uniquely dressed or decorated, creating the feeling that you were on a fashion runway, but for tails.

The photo zones, which became real magnets for the guests, deserved special attention. There was an autumn installation “Autumn has come”, and a tub with balloons, in which dogs jumped and posed, and mini-picnics set up for dogs. For the comfort of the Tails, the organizers provided water and food, as well as special tents from sponsors with breed-specific products. There was a large swimming pool for dogs and even a sandbox with toys where the Pets could play safely under the supervision of the guards. Nearby was a fair where you could find everything from pet food and clothing to original souvenirs. One of the most touching elements was the “Why I love my tail” stand, where owners left funny and warm confessions about their Pets.

But the festival had not only an entertaining, but also a charitable meaning. Within the framework of the event it was possible to collect 178 000 UAH for kotodom for evacuated animals from the frontline areas. This was possible thanks to lotteries, raffles, donations and activities – from paw prints to grooming. The organizers also held a lecture on the problems of homeless animals and gave us all a chance to think about the importance of supporting those who cannot take care of themselves.

Grooming area V.O.G DOG SALON – the heart of care and beauty

Our zone at the festival became one of the most visited. For two days V.O.G DOG SALON groomers worked without a break, taking hundreds of dogs and even kittens. We trimmed and polished claws, cleaned ears, and most importantly – gave beauty and bright mood through creative grooming. Painted tails and ears, glitter, glued rhinestones, temporary tattoos – all this delighted the owners and turned their pets into real stars.

Many owners confessed that their dogs at home do not let their hair cut, and some even bite when you approach them with grooming tools. However, under the gentle hands of our groomers they behaved calmly. These moments became especially touching – people were genuinely surprised how we managed to do it. That’s when we felt that we showed not only the technique, but also a real attitude to animals. After all, the secret lies in the care and love that each of our clients feels – even the smallest and most timid.

One of our groomers shared: “Participation in such events is the face of the salon. We show who we really are and prove that we can make an animal happy even in a noisy crowd.” And another added: “It was incredibly heartwarming to see how supportive the owners were of creative grooming. All the Tails walked away from us with smiles on their faces and their parents with shining eyes.”

Emotions and impressions from the festival

PesDay festival was a real test of strength and at the same time a source of great joy for our team. Two stages, movie screenings, music, hundreds of guests, dozens of activities – in such an atmosphere we did not just work, we created small miracles. Each meeting with each animal was special: someone came just to trim claws, someone wanted to add brightness with color or shine, and some for the first time discovered the world of grooming. We saw the surprise and delight of owners who didn’t expect that their dogs would allow them to do things that seemed impossible at home. And it was these moments that proved: our hard work matters.

The festival was also a true space of sharing experience and energy. We communicated with brands of food and accessories, shared impressions with fellow groomers, and felt unity in a common cause. Such events inspire not only the guests, but also ourselves, because they allow us to show our philosophy – love for animals, creativity and professionalism.

Charitable mission

But perhaps the most important thing that remained in my heart after these two days was the realization of a noble goal. Every clipped claw, every painted tail or rhinestone on the ear, every bought treat or souvenir helped to bring closer the big goal – to raise funds for the cat house for evacuated animals. Together we collected 178 000 UAH, and this result became a real symbol of unity of people who care about our little friends.

We are eternally grateful to the organizers of PesDay and all partners who created such a unique atmosphere of kindness, joy and care. It was an honor for us to represent V.O.G DOG SALON and to work alongside the Angolov Tails team. These two days will forever remain in our memory as an example of how love for animals can unite people, give them inspiration and make the world brighter.
