On June 6, Kyiv’s Natalka Park was transformed into a real-life fairy tale. It was here that the “Angels of the Tails” Foundation held a charity event in the style of “Alice in Wonderland”—a warm evening for people, children, and the Tails, united by a single goal: to help animals evacuated from frontline territories.

And although the weather that day decided to put us to the test with heavy rain and wind, the atmosphere of the event remained incredibly bright. People still came—with their dogs, children, friends, and a desire to support those who are struggling the most right now.

It was a story about people who remain compassionate even in the rain.

A Magical Atmosphere

The organizers thought everything through down to the last detail. Guests were greeted by themed decorations in the style of “Alice in Wonderland,” a vibrant photo zone, charity stations, treats, and interactive activities for guests and their pets.

At the entrance, participants received special maps. To enter the prize drawing, they had to visit all the locations and make donations. They received stamps at each stop, and after completing the route, guests were automatically entered into a charity raffle.

The locations included:
— a zone with treats for people;
— treats and ice cream for dogs;
— a photo zone;
— a creative zone with paw and handprints;
— a grooming area by V.O.G DOG SALON.

V.O.G DOG SALON Location

And our V.O.G DOG SALON team also came to the event. The main focus was on creative grooming—light, safe, and festive.

For a donation of 300 hryvnias or more, the dogs received:
— colorful bows;
— bright ears;
— sparkling glitter accents;
— decorative rhinestones;
— nail filing and trimming;
— light grooming and beauty details.

Some pups received a gentle shimmer of glitter, while others turned into the true stars of the evening.

Colored tails and ears became especially popular. Little dogs with sparkling rhinestones drew crowds of people around them, and the kids literally couldn’t take their eyes off the glitter.

One of the sweetest moments of the evening was when a person without a dog approached the groomers. She simply wanted to make a donation for animals from shelters. In return, the team gave her a set of BurBur cosmetic samples: shampoo, conditioner, and perfume for pets.

And there were so many heartfelt moments like that.

Even the people got some glitter

Very quickly, the atmosphere became so relaxed that creative grooming went far beyond just the animals.

Groomers applied rhinestones to children, created sparkling cheeks with glitter, and added colorful accents even to adult guests.

One girl was given a real festival look with rhinestones and sparkling cheeks, while a boy had his bangs dyed yellow and blue.

And this was yet another proof that charity can be fun, modern, and very original.

Cosmetics that caught the guests’ attention

Guests paid special attention to BurBur cosmetics, presented at the V.O.G DOG SALON location. People were actively interested in skincare, asked questions about the products, and took samples. Many were particularly impressed by the fact that the brand supports a cruelty-free approach and does not test its products on animals. For many guests, this was a key factor in building trust in the cosmetics.

Charity That Exceeded Expectations

The initial fundraising goal was 64,000 hryvnias—exactly the amount needed to purchase vaccines and treatments for animals from three shelters evacuated from the Donetsk region. The organizers planned to purchase Nobivac vaccines and parasite treatments for dogs and cats that had survived the evacuation and needed treatment and protection.

But the result exceeded everyone’s expectations. Despite the downpour and challenging weather conditions, event guests were able to raise 85,000 hryvnias. This means that even more animals than originally planned will receive assistance.

When kindness triumphs over the weather

After the event, the organizers wrote a very simple but important phrase:
“Fairy tales happen when there are people with big hearts around.”

And that is exactly what best describes the “Alice in Wonderland” evening.

Rain, wet tails, glitter on ears, children’s laughter, people holding hot drinks, and dozens of donations for those who cannot ask for help on their own. It is events like these that remind us: even a small act of kindness can change someone’s life.

And the V.O.G DOG SALON team is truly happy to be a part of such stories. Thank you to the “Angels of the Tails” Foundation for organizing this and for the invitation❤️❤️❤️
